The latter was a question posed by the Department for Infrastructure (Northern Ireland) (DINI), to Dr Brown of Fraser George and Associates Limited. DINI required clarity of battery function in respect of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), rechargeable battery systems that convert and store energy from renewable energy sources or the electric gridand at required times re-convert the energy to supply the electric grid.
